Installation

Installation

OtterLedger is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Download the latest version from the download page and follow the instructions below for your platform.

Windows

  1. Download the Windows installer (.exe) from the download page.
  2. Run the installer and follow the on-screen prompts.
  3. OtterLedger will be available in your Start menu and on your desktop.

No administrator privileges are required. OtterLedger installs to your user profile directory by default. Auto-updates are built in and will notify you when new versions are available.

macOS

  1. Download the macOS installer (.pkg) from the download page.
  2. Double-click the .pkg file and follow the on-screen prompts.
  3. OtterLedger will be installed to your Applications folder.

On first launch, you may need to right-click and select "Open" to bypass Gatekeeper. OtterLedger supports both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs with a universal binary. Auto-updates are built in.

Linux

  1. Download the Linux AppImage (.AppImage) from the download page.
  2. Make it executable: chmod +x OpenLedger-linux-x64.AppImage
  3. Run the application: ./OpenLedger-linux-x64.AppImage

OtterLedger is built on .NET and requires no additional dependencies on most modern Linux distributions. Auto-updates are built in and will notify you when new versions are available.
